    At Snake River Four Paws, we offer comprehensive K9 training programs tailored to meet the needs of every dog and handler. From puppy foundations to competition-level sport dogs, our courses cover a wide range of disciplines, including AKC Agility, AKC Rally, Obedience, and more.

    We provide a variety of training options to fit your needs: private one-on-one sessions, dog-only drop & train programs, and intensive board & train “Boot Camp” programs. Our experienced trainers focus on building strong dog-handler partnerships, developing well-rounded dogs, and helping you achieve your training goals.

  • Full Service Boarding

    At Snake River Four Paws, our full-service boarding facility provides a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for your dog while you’re away. We tailor each stay to the individual needs and personality of your dog, ensuring they receive care on their terms rather than requiring them to conform to a standard routine.

    Our experienced team provides attentive supervision, daily exercise, socialization, and personalized routines to keep every dog happy, healthy, and thriving. Whether it’s a short-term stay, extended boarding, or specialized care for dogs with unique needs, we are committed to providing an environment where your dog feels at home.

  • AKC STAR Puppy® Program $300

    The AKC STAR Puppy® program is the perfect start for puppies and their owners. Designed for puppies up to one year of age, this course focuses on building a strong foundation of training, socialization, and positive habits during your puppy’s most important learning stage.

    Program Requirements

    • Puppies up to 12 months of age

    • Age-appropriate vaccinations

    • Attendance in all required classes

    Graduation & Title

    Upon successful completion, puppies earn the AKC STAR Puppy® medal and may be registered with the American Kennel Club. This program also prepares puppies for future training such as AKC Canine Good Citizen®.

    AKC Canine Good Citizen® Program $300

    The AKC Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) program is a nationally recognized training and testing program that promotes responsible dog ownership and well-mannered dogs. This course builds reliable obedience, good manners, and confidence in real-world situations.

    CGC Test & Certification

    Dogs that successfully pass the 10-skill CGC test earn the official AKC Canine Good Citizen® certificate and title. CGC is often a prerequisite for therapy dog programs, advanced training, and is a foundation for AKC Advanced CGC and Urban CGC titles.

    AKC Canine Good Citizen® Progression

    The AKC Canine Good Citizen® program offers a clear training path that builds reliable manners and real-world skills.

    • CGC – Canine Good Citizen®
      Focuses on basic obedience, polite greetings, loose-leash walking, and calm behavior around people and dogs.

    • CGCA – Advanced Canine Good Citizen®
      Builds on CGC with increased focus, reliability, and control around distractions and in new environments.

    • CGCU – Urban Canine Good Citizen®
      Prepares dogs for busy public settings, testing confidence and manners around crowds, traffic, buildings, and real-life urban challenges.

    This progression develops well-mannered, confident dogs with strong handler relationships, from everyday manners to advanced public-ready skills.

  • Intro to Agility $300
    Designed for dogs and handlers new to agility. Focuses on foundation skills, confidence building, and safe obstacle introduction. Dogs are introduced to basic handling cues, body awareness, and beginner obstacles such as jumps, tunnels, and contact equipment at low heights, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement and clear reward markers.

    Intermediate Agility $300
    Builds on foundation skills with increased obstacle difficulty and short sequences. Teams work on consistency, accuracy, and smoother transitions while developing strong reward history through repeated, successful performances.

    Pre-Competition Agility $300
    Prepares teams for trial readiness by refining obstacle performance, handling skills, and timing. Training focuses on accurate repetitions, maintaining motivation, and reinforcing reliable performance through consistent reward history in a controlled training environment.

  • Intro to Scent Work $300
    Introduces dogs and handlers to the foundations of scent detection. This course builds confidence, hunt drive, and problem-solving skills while teaching dogs how to search independently and indicate odor. Teams decide on their dog’s target odor, choosing from AKC sport odors or real-world application odors, using clear reward markers and positive reinforcement.

    Intermediate Scent Work $300
    Builds on foundational skills with increased search complexity and duration. Teams continue developing odor recognition, search strategies, and handler communication across a variety of environments and container types. Training emphasizes accurate reps, strong reward history, and consistency using the dog’s selected target odor.

    Advanced Scent Work $300
    Designed for experienced teams preparing for advanced training or competition. Focuses on refined indication, speed, endurance, and reliability across challenging searches and environments. Dogs work their chosen target odor—including AKC sport odors or real-world odors such as animal blood, antlers, and other application-based scents—with an emphasis on precision, independence, and efficient search performance.

  • Rally is a fun, engaging sport that combines obedience, teamwork, and agility through a course of numbered stations. Dogs and handlers navigate the course together, performing exercises such as sits, downs, turns, and changes of pace while maintaining focus and communication.

    Our Rally courses focus on:

    • Building teamwork and handler communication

    • Improving obedience and precision in a dynamic environment

    • Preparing dogs for AKC Rally competition levels

    Classes are suitable for dogs of all ages and experience levels, with training adapted to each dog’s skill set and handler’s goals. Positive reinforcement and clear reward markers ensure success and confidence building every step of the way.

  • Private Training Sessions
    Private sessions include the owner and dog working directly with a trainer. Each program is customized to the dog’s specific needs and the owner’s goals. Sessions include a personalized training plan, clear homework, and guidance to help owners continue progress between lessons.
    $100 per session

    Drop & Train
    Drop & Train sessions are one-hour lessons where the dog works individually with a trainer without the owner present. These sessions are designed to build independence and confidence while making focused progress toward the goals set for the dog and owner.
    $50 per session

    Board & Train
    Board & Train is our most intensive training option, running 2–10 weeks. Dogs stay with us and receive daily, customized training tailored to their needs and goals. The program includes ongoing communication, feedback, and follow-up support with the trainer. Owners receive up to 6 months of continued access to trainer support at no additional cost following program completion.

  • Standard Boarding Rate: $40 per day

    We offer appointment-based drop-offs and pickups to ensure a smooth and personalized experience for every dog. All reservations must be made in advance.
